Ferret Protection Act
For the purpose of prohibiting a
commercial entity from transporting in or out of the State,
or offering for sale, a ferret that is under 10 weeks of
age or lacking adult canine dentition; requiring same commercial
entity to sexually alter all ferrets, prior to their sale,
at no less than 8 weeks of age; prohibiting the transport
of sexually altered ferrets from their commercial breeding
facility within 7 days after their medical procedure; providing
that a violation of this Act is a misdemeanor; providing
for a certain penalty; and generally relating to the handling
of ferrets.
